Holdings

Everything comes in time to him who knows how to wait
Leo Tolstoy, War and Peace (1869)

Of course, the foundations of any dividend portfolio are the individual holdings themselves. Here I plan to keep up to date the list of my holdings as it grows.

If you want to see my target/limit for the number of holdings in my portfolio, take a look at my "Investment Goals" page.

Individual Holdings

Here is a tree map chart of my holdings. Obviously, the bigger the square (and bluer the colour) attached to the company the larger its weighting in my portfolio.

You can also navigate yourself around this a bit more. For example, clicking on "FTSE 100" will show you just the FTSE 100 constituents of my portfolio. Right-clicking moves you back to the page before.

Portfolio Diversity

Originally I used the Global Industry Classification Standard. However, since February 2015 I have used the Industry Classification Benchmark to classify my portfolio.

Currently, as it stands, this is how my portfolio breaks down according to industry classification:

I also hold a small number of cheap funds:

  1. I am having a really good look around your site this evening. I have found a few new prospective stocks for my portfolio as a result. I love the diversity of the companies you hold. This makes good investment sense to spread your risk.

    1. Glad you're finding it interesting.

I am trying to produce a pretty diverse portfolio. It has taken a while to get to this stage but I feel more comfortable with it now than at any time before. Long may it continue! 31 companies across 10 sectors is pretty diversified. Now I would be much happier "fattening" up some of my current holdings.

      Thanks for dropping by!

  2. Which of your companies would you like to add shares too? 31 companies is excellent.

    1. That a very hard question. It depends on their value at the time I have cash available. i would chiefly like to add to my consumer defensive holdings. However, most are a little rich for my taste with regards valuation at the moment.

      We will have to see!
